US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Fatal Wrong Way Head On Crash with AERIALS.

Los Angeles, United States - May 29, 2026 05/29/2026 02:42 PM GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – At least one person is dead and a major Santa Clarita artery shut down following a violent, wrong-way, head-on collision. The crash was reported shortly before 2:45 PM on Newhall Ranch Road between Copper Hill Drive and Rye Canyon Road. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, one of the vehicles may have been traveling the wrong way when it collided head-on with another vehicle. First responders arrived to find multiple patients and immediately began lifesaving efforts, including CPR on at least one victim. Despite those efforts, at least one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Newhall Ranch Road remains closed in both directions as deputies investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. The closure has resulted in significant traffic congestion and lengthy backups along one of the primary routes into and out of the Santa Clarita Valley. The total number of people injured and the extent of their injuries have not yet been released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
