US, Los Angeles: Florence One Victim Shot in Reported Shootout.

Los Angeles, United States - June 16, 2026 06/15/2026 10:54 pm GMT-0700 FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department Newton officers responded to reports of a shooting at East 66th Street and South San Pedro Street. Upon arrival, the officers found that a male suspect armed with a handgun had fled the scene on foot. The suspect was later taken into custody. An additional suspect may still be outstanding. Officers located another male victim with an unknown number of gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department, although his condition is not known. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, police indicated that the incident may have involved a gang shootout.
