Bakersfield, United States - August 07, 2026 08/06/2026 08:34 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A multi-vehicle crash sent at least two people to the hospital this evening after four vehicles collided around 8:37 p.m. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, a red sedan and a black compact sedan were involved, both sustaining major damage. Witnesses reported seeing the red sedan swerving from the far-right lanes and narrowly avoiding a collision with another vehicle before the crash. As additional information came in, at least four vehicles were determined to be involved. Initial reports indicated one vehicle had come to rest in a field on its wheels and another had rolled onto its roof. However, all four vehicles were observed on their wheels at the scene. At least two people were transported by ambulance to a hospital. The total number of people injured and the extent of their injuries remain unknown. The collision affected the middle lanes as emergency crews and towing services responded. The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash.
