US, Phoenix: Phoenix Woman Shot In The Head.

Phoenix, United States - August 07, 2026 08/07/2026 03:30 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix Police and Phoenix firefighters responded to reports of a gunshot victim on 51st Avenue just south of I-10 around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning. Emergency crews arrived and located a woman in a Taco Bell parking lot on the corner of 51st Avenue and Latham Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The woman was alert and conscious, speaking with officers until firefighters arrived on scene and began rendering medical aid. The woman was transported to a local area hospital in reportedly stable condition, according to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene. Phoenix Police closed southbound 51st Avenue from the I-10 to Latham Street as they investigate the shooting. Officers appear to be focusing their investigation on a bus stop on the west side of 51st Avenue.
