US, Phoenix: Phoenix 2nd Alarm Travelodge Fire With Sound On Tape.

Phoenix, United States - August 16, 2026 08/16/2026 02:54 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to Phoenix Fire Captain DJ Lee at the scene, Phoenix fire crews responded to reports of a structure fire near the 2500 block of West Greenway Road around 2:00 AM. Crews arrived to find a fire on the second floor of a Travelodge hotel. The fire extended through the attic space on the second floor. The assignment was upgraded to a second alarm due to the size of the structure and number of residents. The exact number of displaced occupants has yet to be determined; however, the entire building and all 52 rooms have been affected. Crisis response teams are working to provide the displaced occupants with services. No injuries have been reported, and Phoenix fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze.
