US, Phoenix: Phoenix 19th Avenue 1st Alarm Apartment Fire.

Phoenix, United States - August 23, 2026 08/22/2026 11:09 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix fire crews responded to reports of an apartment fire near the 13800 block of North 19th Avenue. According to Phoenix fire officials at the scene, crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire billowing from a single-story apartment building. Crews deployed hose lines and forced entry into the affected unit for fire attack. Additional crews made their way to the roof to assist with vertical ventilation. The assignment was upgraded to a first alarm as the fire extended into the attic space. Crews were able to achieve effective knockdown on the main body of the fire a short time later. At least one resident was displaced as a result of the blaze. Crisis response teams responded to the scene to assist the displaced resident with resources. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
