US, Phoenix: Mesa Possible Vehicle Explosion Shuts Down US-60 Exit Ramp.

Phoenix, United States - May 15, 2026 05/15/2026 07:13 am GMT-0700 MESA, Ariz. – According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle explosion on the westbound US-60 at the Alma School Road off-ramp shortly after 7:10 a.m. Friday. Firefighters arrived and located an older model pickup truck on the ramp that was on fire. The driver of the pickup reportedly sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital. The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded and closed the right lanes of the westbound US-60 prior to the Alma School Road exit as they shut down the ramp to begin their investigation.
