US, Phoenix: Gila River Indian Reservation Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Field.

Phoenix, United States - May 16, 2026 05/15/2026 08:45 pm GMT-0700 Gila River Indian Reservation – Firefighters from Chandler, Mesa, Phoenix, Queen Creek, Gilbert, and the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority responded to reports of a downed aircraft on the Gila River Indian Reservation shortly after 8:40 p.m. Friday. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find a small fixed-wing aircraft that had crashed in a field just south of Hunt Highway. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the single occupant of the aircraft did not sustain serious injuries and declined medical evaluation after being assisted from the plane. Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration are on their way to the scene to investigate the cause of the crash.
