US, Los Angeles: Baldwin Park Overnight Vault Fire Knocks Out Power To Area.

Los Angeles, United States - August 31, 2026 08/31/2026 12:16 am GMT-0700 BALDWIN PARK, Calif. – Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a vault fire this morning at a location at 4825 Rivergrade Road in Baldwin Park. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a vault with heavy smoke and flames emanating, which may have exploded. Baldwin Park police closed both northbound and southbound lanes as a safety precaution. The fire caused a power outage in the surrounding area, and firefighters requested California Edison to shut down power to the vault. After approximately 45 minutes to an hour, firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the blaze. Crews faced challenges in controlling the fire due to grease inside the vault, but no injuries were reported among the firefighting personnel. California Edison remained on scene, collaborating with firefighters throughout the incident.
