US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Pointe Fire Burns Near Veterans Community Part 4.

Los Angeles, United States - July 15, 2026 07/15/2026 01:40 pm GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Firefighters continue battling a fast-moving brush fire threatening a veterans housing community in Santa Clarita. The Pointe Fire was first reported at approximately 1:40 p.m. near Spirit Court and Centre Pointe Parkway. The blaze quickly spread through dry vegetation, prompting a large response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Residents, including veterans living in the nearby community, were forced to evacuate as firefighters worked to protect homes and slow the fire’s advance. As of 4 p.m., the fire had grown to 58.5 acres. Firefighters engaged in an aggressive ground and air attack, eventually reporting forward progress stopped before 4 p.m. No damaged structures have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
