The fire was reported at approximately 11:08 PM in the 27700 block of Iris Court, near Shangri-La Drive. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, callers reported that fireworks were being set off in the area when nearby vegetation caught fire. The flames quickly spread toward homes, prompting a rapid response from strike teams with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Firefighters mounted an aggressive ground attack and stopped the fire at approximately one-quarter acre, protecting nearby homes from the advancing flames. No injuries or structural damage were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, though officials are examining whether improperly used fireworks sparked the blaze.
