US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Abandoned Building Burns Again After 2023 Fire Part 2.

Los Angeles, United States - July 10, 2026 07/09/2026 06:32 pm GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Firefighters responded twice this afternoon to an abandoned commercial building in Valencia that was heavily damaged by a devastating fire in 2023 after smoke was reported coming from inside the structure. The first call came in at 4:39 p.m., followed by a second report at 6:32 p.m., sending crews to the 25800 block of Tournament Road. Firefighters found a contents fire burning inside the abandoned building, with smoke visible from outside the structure. Crews quickly extinguished the blaze, and the fire was declared out by 7:15 p.m. The building has remained vacant since a massive fire in December 2023 gutted its midsection, destroyed four of the strip mall’s 10 units, and left utilities severed. Following that fire, firefighters rescued four large snakes from inside the building before heavy equipment was brought in to demolish unstable portions of the structure.
