Los Angeles, United States - July 15, 2026 07/15/2026 01:40 pm GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Firefighters are battling a fast-moving brush fire threatening a veterans housing community in Santa Clarita. The Pointe Fire was reported at approximately 1:40 p.m. near Spirit Court and Centre Pointe Parkway. The fire is burning in vegetation behind the neighborhood, prompting a large response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Residents, including veterans living in the community, were seen evacuating as firefighters worked to protect homes and stop the fire’s spread. The fire prompted a school evacuation, as flames rapidly approached. The fire is currently approximately 52 acres. The fire remains very active, and additional details, including acreage and containment, were not immediately available.
