Jun 27, 2026
Georgia, United States - June 16, 2026 On June 16, a kitten was rescued from inside a car engine after a deputy responded to a vehicle parked near Spout Springs Library. The Hall County Sheriff's Office referenced earlier dog rescue photos by Hall County Fire Rescue and highlighted a new case involving a kitten trapped in a car engine. SRO Nick Jackson was working election security at Spout Springs Library on June 16 when he noticed a vehicle with its hood up on a nearby street. Two women nearby appeared to be in a difficult situation, prompting him to investigate. They explained that a kitten was stuck behind the engine of the vehicle. With patience and compassion, and with a drumstick that was inside the car, Deputy Jackson managed to safely remove the kitten. The kitten was brought out safely without further incident. Body camera footage of the rescue was later shared for viewing.
