US, Los Angeles: Sierra Madre LAPD and CHP Pursuit of Armed Robbery Suspects Ends with Two Arrests.

Los Angeles, United States - October 01, 2026 09/30/2026 08:30 pm GMT-0700 SIERRA MADRE, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department pursued an armed robbery suspect in a black SUV without license plates this evening. The department's airship provided aerial support for the ground units involved in the chase. The suspects navigated several freeways as they attempted to evade capture by the Los Angeles Police Department. The California Highway Patrol, with units from both the Baldwin Park and Altadena stations, assumed control of the pursuit on the westbound 210 Freeway at the 605 Freeway interchange in Irwindale. The chase concluded in Sierra Madre at the intersection of North Mountain Trail Avenue and East Laurel Avenue. Upon the pursuit's conclusion, authorities apprehended a male suspect and a female who is reportedly pregnant. The male suspect was transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained while fleeing the vehicle. The female suspect was also evaluated, but it is unclear if she required transportation to a medical facility. Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived at the scene and have taken over the investigation, now handling both suspects involved in the incident.
