US, Los Angeles: Rowland Heights Pursuit of Armed Suspects In Stolen SUV.

Los Angeles, United States - August 14, 2026 08/14/2026 01:05 am GMT-0700 ROWLAND HEIGHTS, Calif. – West Covina Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a stolen white SUV driven by a suspect who was possibly armed with a gun. The suspect led police on a pursuit on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Barranca Street. The chase continued onto multiple freeways before heading westbound on the 60 Freeway at Nogales Street in Rowland Heights. While on the westbound 60 Freeway, the suspect tossed out the window a handgun and a bag just before the Nogales Street exit. The pursuit came to an end as the suspect's vehicle stopped on Fullerton Road, just north of the 60 Freeway in Rowland Heights. The male driver and a female passenger barricaded themselves inside the vehicle for approximately 30 minutes. Eventually, they surrendered and were taken into custody. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department assisted from the air along with the California Highway Patrol helping out.
