US, Phoenix: Mesa Man Injured After Reported Assault With Rock.

Phoenix, United States - August 01, 2026 08/01/2026 03:13 am GMT-0700 MESA, Ariz. – Mesa Police and Mesa Fire personnel were dispatched to the Filibertos Mexican restaurant in the 1400 block of East Main Street in Mesa shortly after 3:10 a.m. Saturday to reports of an injured person. Police and firefighters arrived and located a man bleeding from the head. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the man was hit in the head with a large rock during an altercation with an unknown suspect. Firefighters evaluated the man and provided medical aid before he ultimately declined transport to the hospital. Firefighters were seen tending to an additional person in the back of a Mesa police Tahoe, but it is currently unknown if that subject was detained by police.
