US, Los Angeles: Valencia Man Rescued After Truck Plunges Off Bridge Outside Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Los Angeles, United States - May 10, 2026 05/09/2026 10:25 pm GMT-0700 VALENCIA, Calif. – A driver was rushed to a trauma center overnight after a violent crash sent his truck nearly 100 feet down an embankment off a bridge outside Six Flags Magic Mountain in the Valencia area of Santa Clarita. The crash was first reported around 10:25 p.m. at The Old Road and Rye Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. California Highway Patrol officers and firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and discovered an overturned pickup truck far below the roadway in a ditch near the Santa Clara River basin, south of Rye Canyon Road. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the vehicle had gone off the bridge and landed on its roof, trapping the driver inside. Firefighters initiated a technical rescue operation and were able to extricate the occupant from the wreckage after several minutes. The patient was then transported by ambulance to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital as a trauma patient. The extent of the driver’s injuries was not immediately known. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
