US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Deputy Rushed to Hospital After E-Motorcycle Rider Rams Him Into Lightpole.

Los Angeles, United States - May 15, 2026 05/14/2026 06:33 pm GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputy was rushed to a trauma center after investigators say two riders on e-motorcycles reportedly intentionally rear-ended the deputy during a traffic stop attempt in the Saugus area Thursday evening. The crash occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Avenida Rancho Tesoro and Stoney Creek Road. According to preliminary information, a sheriff's motor deputy reportedly spotted two possible teens riding e-motorcycles on the wrong side of the roadway and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Investigators say the riders then intentionally swerved into the deputy, causing the deputy to lose control and crash into a light pole. The two riders fled the area following the collision and remain outstanding. The injured deputy was transported to a local trauma center and was escorted by multiple unmarked units from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. The extent of the deputy's injuries has not been released.
