US: Driver Tased After Walking Toward Officers With His Hands Up Following 6-Mile Chase.

Fond du Lac, United States - September 07, 2026 A 20-year-old Fox Lake man was taken into custody Monday night, Sept. 7, after fleeing from deputies in Fond du Lac County during a pursuit that covered roughly six miles and reached speeds of up to 80 mph. At about 8 p.m., a Fond du Lac County Sheriff's sergeant spotted a silver Volkswagen traveling 54 mph in a 30 mph zone on Main Street near Guindon Boulevard. The sergeant attempted a traffic stop, but the driver continued south on Highway 175. The pursuit continued until a deputy deployed a tire deflation device at the intersection of Highway 175 and County Highway B. The vehicle stopped on Highway 175 south of Church Road. According to the sheriff's office, the driver exited the vehicle and began walking toward deputies with his hands up after being instructed to stop. He ignored multiple commands, and deputies deployed a Taser before successfully apprehending him. The man was booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, Suspicion of Operating While Impaired, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also issued multiple traffic citations. No deputies were injured.
