Andy Burnham, the PM-elect, has spoken for the first time since his swearing in ceremony in the House of Commons as the government passed a bill called the Hillsborough Law, which the Makerfield MP has been working towards for the best part of 25 years. In his speech, he praised the values of the city of his birth, Liverpool, as well as paying tribute to the hard work of current Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who worked alongside Burnham when drafting the legislation some years ago.
