US, Phoenix: Mesa Union Pacific Train Derailment.

Phoenix, United States - July 28, 2026 07/28/2026 12:00 am GMT-0700 MESA, Ariz. – Mesa Fire Department HazMat crews responded to the area of South Center and Broadway Road following reports of a train derailment. Upon arrival, crews found multiple rail cars that derailed in a curved section of track between McDonald and Center. It is unclear if any hazardous materials spilled as a result of the derailment or if any injuries were reported. At least two railroad crossings (Center and Broadway / McDonald and Broadway) are blocked while crews work to clear the derailed cars. The scene has been turned over to Union Pacific work crews.
