US, Los Angeles: Pacoima Hit and Run Suspect Who Struck LAPD Officer Taken Into Custody Part 2.

Los Angeles, United States - August 30, 2026 08/29/2026 08:50 pm GMT-0700 PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – An officer from the Los Angeles Police Department was taken to the hospital after being struck at high speed in Sylmar on Friday evening. The incident occurred near Foothill Boulevard and Hubbard Street when officers responded to an assault call around 7:45 p.m. While managing the initial incident, an officer was struck by an older Chevy Tahoe at a high rate of speed, which then fled the scene. Paramedics were requested to the scene to attend to the injured officer, who was later transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Authorities later located the suspect and took them into custody.
