US, Los Angeles: Sylmar LAPD Officer Rushed To Hospital After Being Struck in High Speed Hit-And-Run.

Los Angeles, United States - August 29, 2026 08/28/2026 07:45 pm GMT-0700 SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – An LAPD officer was taken to the hospital after being struck at high speed in Sylmar on Friday evening. The incident occurred near Foothill Boulevard and Hubbard Street when officers responded to an assault call around 7:45 p.m. While managing the initial incident, an officer was struck by an older Chevy Tahoe at a “high rate of speed,” which then fled the scene. Paramedics were requested to the scene to attend to the injured officer, who was later transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Authorities later located the suspect and took them into custody.
