US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Massive Fire Consumes Thousands of Acres.

Bakersfield, United States - May 03, 2026 05/03/2026 03:22 PM GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A massive fire named the Tower Fire has consumed at least 2,500 acres near the intersection of Tower Line Road and Edison Highway in Kern County, California. Firefighters from the Kern County Fire Department and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL Fire) are on the scene working to contain the blaze. At least 10 water tankers have been requested to help combat the flames. Structures in the area are threatened, according to the Kern County Fire Department, but it remains unclear if any have been destroyed.
