Some residents on Valley View Lane have evacuated due to young children. Most of the residents surrounded by the fire have their cars packed and ready to evacuate if needed. As of 8:36 pm, the Chino Fire Department reported that forward progress on the fire has stopped, according to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene.
