Los Angeles, United States - June 02, 2026 06/01/2026 08:05 pm GMT-0700 FONTANA, Calif. – The San Bernardino County Fire Department, along with other agencies, is on scene of a second-alarm brush fire near the intersection of Sierra Avenue and Jurupa Avenue in Fontana. The fire has spread to five acres but continues to spread slowly and is backing down from the ridge, according to Incident Command. Emergency services received multiple 911 calls this evening around 10 p.m. regarding a person screaming for help with burn injuries in the hills near the fire's origin. Firefighters located the burn victim near the fire's starting point and transported him to the command post. San Bernardino Fire officials have requested the Fontana Police Department to respond to the command post for a potential arson investigation.
