US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Dog Goes Missing Following Pin In Crash With Semi Truck.

Bakersfield, United States - July 31, 2026 07/30/2026 10:48 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A white SUV collided with a semi truck at the intersection of Rosedale Highway and Camino Del Rio Court late Thursday night. Three people, including one child, were transported to a local hospital. One of the occupants was pinned inside the passenger side of the SUV before firefighters extricated them from the vehicle. The extent of injuries is from minor to moderate. A dog wearing a leash and collar frantically jumped around after getting out of the SUV before breaking free from its collar and running westbound down Rosedale Highway. A child being held by Bakersfield police officers was seen crying out for the dog as it ran from the scene. Multiple Bakersfield Police Department units searched the area as the dog continued running westbound. Bakersfield Police Department and Kern County Fire Department responded.
