US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Child Injured After Being Struck by Pocket Bike.

Bakersfield, United States - September 01, 2026 08/31/2026 08:52 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A child suffered moderate injuries after being struck by a pocket bike this evening in the 2900 block of Peerless Avenue in Oildale. The collision occurred around 8:50 p.m. The child was seen on the ground being treated by Kern County Fire Department personnel before she was transported to a local hospital. California Highway Patrol officers arrived and began gathering witness statements. Officers were seen speaking with another boy who was believed to have been riding the pocket bike. Witnesses at the scene identified him as the rider. The ages of both the victim and the rider are unknown. The California Highway Patrol and Kern County Fire Department responded.
