Welcome to EdTechHustle

My name is Rich, and today I'm going to show you how you can make AI work for you
0:06
We're going to go to the website, QuestionWell. You can find it at questionwell.org
0:12
This website is going to allow you to take any block of text
0:16
and generate an endless supply of questions. Let's go ahead and get started
0:22
You can log in at app.questionwell.org. Now you will need a Google account
0:27
In order to create a login for the site that will allow you to generate questions
0:32
Next, you just need to find a block of text on the topic that you want to generate questions about
0:38
Now I have this website about how a bill becomes a law, but this could be a document, it could be a Google doc
0:44
It can really be anything that you can copy and extract text from
0:48
So what I'm going to do so I don't have to worry about copying and pasting text that I don't need
0:53
is put this in reader mode, and I'm going to copy all of the text on the page
1:00
Next, let me go ahead and go to QuestionWell. This is where I'm going to paste my text
1:08
I'm also going to add the topic, the subject and the grade level
1:13
From here I can select the language. In this case, I'm just going to keep it as English
1:17
And at the bottom, if I want, I can add my own learning outcomes
1:23
Of course, if I don't want to do this, QuestionWell is going to automatically do this for me
1:28
So I'm just going to leave this blank. Now with the free version, you're limited to multiple choice questions
1:32
but there are a few different question types as well if you upgrade to the paid version
1:38
So I'm just going to go ahead and collect Generate Set. And in a few minutes
1:42
QuestionWell is going to do all the hard work for me and generate some questions
1:46
Okay, here we go. In just a few minutes, it was able to generate this breakdown
1:51
It has 10 different questions. You can see the essential questions that correlate with each of the multiple choice questions
1:59
You can also see some of the learning outcomes. And if you click on each learning outcome
2:04
it's going to highlight the questions that it correlates to. Now I can edit any of these questions if I'd like
2:10
I could also make a copy of that question and alter it just a little bit
2:15
I have a lot of options. You'll notice that the answer is going to be bolded
2:19
There's also an option for me to check the answer with a Google search
2:23
But if these look good, I'm going to choose this option. I'm going to select all of those 10 questions
2:29
that were generated. And I'm going to go over here to where it says Export
2:34
This is where I have a lot of really cool options. So I can export this to whatever platform
2:40
I'll be sharing this with students. So you can see it has everything from Kahoot
2:44
Quizzes, Gimkit, Blookit, all the way down to Microsoft Word. And this is the option I'm going to be choosing
2:51
So I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to click that option. Now it says, would you like to include the answers
2:55
in the exported document? I'm going to say no. My download has started
3:01
And here it is. You can see the questions are here along with the answers
3:05
Of course, if I wanted to import this in any of those learning platforms
3:09
I could do that or I could just hand out a bubble sheet if I wanted to, or just print this and pass it out
3:15
So, so many options. The website is called QuestionWell. It's a great way to generate questions
3:21
on any topic for a specific audience. So thank you so much for watching this video
