US, Phoenix: Peoria Suspect Dead Victim Critical After Murder Suicide Attempt.

Phoenix, United States - September 02, 2026 09/01/2026 09:03 pm GMT-0700 PEORIA, Ariz. – Peoria police and Peoria fire crews responded to an apartment complex near 87th Avenue and Cholla Street for reports of a shooting. According to Peoria police officials at the scene, an unidentified adult suspect shot an unidentified adult victim in the parking area of the complex. Officers arrived to find the suspect deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries. This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community. Peoria police detectives responded to the scene and assumed command of the investigation. The investigation remains active and additional details have yet to be released.
