US, Phoenix: Avondale Fatal Pedestrian Crash Closes I-10.

Phoenix, United States - July 17, 2026 07/17/2026 01:37 am GMT-0700 AVONDALE, Ariz. – Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Avondale Boulevard around 1:35 a.m. Friday. Troopers arrived and located an unidentified deceased victim who had been struck by at least one vehicle in the center lanes of eastbound Interstate 10. All eastbound traffic was forced to exit at Avondale Boulevard, where they were able to re-enter Interstate 10. Troopers located one vehicle near the eastbound Interstate 10 Avondale Boulevard on-ramp, which reportedly struck the pedestrian. Troopers are working to determine if any additional vehicles struck the pedestrian following the initial collision.
