According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the homeowner, hearing a man inside the home, texted his partner to avoid coming downstairs and to call 911. While police were en route, the homeowner confronted the intruder, resulting in a physical altercation. His partner remained upstairs on the phone with police during the incident.
