US, Los Angeles: Monterey Park Officer Down After Being Involved in A Crash Part 1.

Los Angeles, United States - August 21, 2026 08/20/2026 08:55 pm GMT-0700 Monterey Park – California Highway Patrol officers from the East Los Angeles station are assisting Monterey Park police following a traffic collision involving an officer at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and East Garvey Avenue in Monterey Park. The officer was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are currently unknown. Information regarding how the crash occurred is also not available at this time. Multiple patrol vehicles, including unmarked units, were seen at the hospital where the officer was taken. Additionally, an unmarked Tesla was observed responding with two CHP units to the location. It remains unclear if any other individuals sustained injuries in the incident.
