US, Los Angeles: Long Beach Person In Wheelchair Struck By Truck.

Los Angeles, United States - September 29, 2026 09/28/2026 09:40 pm GMT-0700 LONG BEACH, Calif. – A person believed to have been using a wheelchair was reportedly seriously injured after being struck by a truck in Long Beach late Monday night. The crash was reported just before 10 p.m. in the 3700 block of Locust Avenue as a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision. Key News video from the scene showed a wheelchair and debris in front of a vehicle inside a crime scene established by the Long Beach Police Department. The patient was believed to have suffered major injuries, though the extent of those injuries was not immediately known. A neighbor told Key News she believes the victim is a man who frequently travels through the neighborhood late at night and lives at a nearby home for people with disabilities. The cause of the crash was not immediately known. Long Beach police were investigating.
