US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Kern County Sheriffs Office Conducts Pursuit Training at Municipal Airport.

Bakersfield, United States - September 18, 2026 09/17/2026 08:00 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Kern County Sheriff’s Office conducted pursuit training exercises at Bakersfield Municipal Airport from around 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Multiple deputies took turns operating both pursuing patrol vehicles and simulated suspect vehicles as they practiced initiating pursuits, calling out directions, and communicating with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office helicopter. The exercises also included navigating around obstacles and simulated civilian vehicles entering the path of pursuing law enforcement units. The training allowed deputies to practice vehicle pursuit tactics and coordinated radio communication in a controlled environment.
