The historic site, which has not been accessible to visitors for nearly two decades, is being showcased as part of special events. The event highlighted Pompeii’s archaeological heritage, with visitors exploring streets, houses and public spaces preserved after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Pompeii remains one of Italy’s most important archaeological sites, with ongoing excavations and public programmes continuing to reveal details about daily life in the ancient city.
