D4vd Case: Singer's DNA Found On Evidence Linked To Celeste’s Blood

Police testimony in D4vd’s preliminary hearing has revealed that the singer’s DNA was found on a trash bag containing blood evidence linked to 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Prosecutors allege that investigators recovered the bag during a September 2025 search of his Hollywood Hills rental home. The search followed the discovery of Celeste’s dismembered remains inside the front trunk of D4vd’s Tesla after the vehicle was towed. One LAPD criminalist testified that a swab from the trash bag contained DNA from a mixture of four people, including at least two males. She said D4vd’s DNA was included in that mixture, while a wipe recovered from inside the bag contained DNA matching Celeste’s profile. The criminalist testified that the DNA was three trillion times more likely to have come from Celeste than from an unknown person. Under cross-examination, D4vd’s defense attorneys highlighted that touch DNA can be transferred indirectly, a fact confirmed by the criminalist.
