Singer D4vd’s evidentiary hearing in his murder case has been delayed another month, with proceedings now scheduled to begin on June 29. Defense attorney Blair Berk requested the delay after prosecutors released a detailed evidence brief outlining their theory in the case. Prosecutors allege D4vd lured 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez to his Los Angeles rental home and killed her on April 23, 2025. The brief claims that the 21-year-old later dismembered and concealed the remains inside his towed Tesla for several months. At a recent hearing, Berk said D4vd was “presumed innocent” and argued that releasing the brief could affect a future jury pool. The judge denied sealing it. D4vd has pleaded not guilty to murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains. If convicted, D4vd faces life without parole. Prosecutors may also seek the death penalty, but that decision has not yet been made.
