D4vd Pleads Not Guilty In Case Of Teen Girl Found Dead In Tesla
Apr 21, 2026
Singer D4vd has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom on April 20 after formal charges were filed against him.
He pleaded not guilty to murder, sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains. The judge ordered him to be held without bail.
Rivas Hernandez’s dismembered body was discovered in a Tesla registered to Dv4d that had been towed from the Hollywood Hills, just one day after she would have turned 15.
District Attorney Nathan Hochman said the criminal complaint includes special circumstances, such as murder of a witness, murder for financial gain, and lying in wait.
Hochman claimed that Rivas Hernandez had been a witness in an investigation into D4vd for “lewd and lascivious sexual acts” with a minor.
If convicted, the singer-songwriter faces life without parole. Prosecutors may also seek the death penalty, but that decision has not yet been made.
