Tony Robbins shares the truth about what it really means to feel triggered!
Jun 24, 2026
One of the biggest misconceptions about being triggered is believing that the trigger itself is the problem.
As Tony Robbins shares, we are often reacting not just to what is happening in the present moment, but to the meaning our minds and nervous systems have attached to similar experiences over time.
A trigger can feel overwhelming, frustrating, or even confusing. But it can also offer valuable information.
Instead of asking, "Why am I reacting this way?" with judgment, what if we asked with curiosity?
✨ What is this reaction trying to tell me?
✨ What belief, experience, or unmet need might be underneath it?
✨ What part of me is asking to be understood?
When we approach our triggers with awareness rather than shame, they can become opportunities for healing, growth, and deeper self-understanding.
The trigger isn't always the problem. Sometimes it's pointing us toward the place that needs our attention most.
