You eat because you’re showing signs of hunger like hunger pangs, stomach growls or feeling light headed.
You choose foods based on their nutritional value and how they can impact health.
You eat at normal times. For example, you do not wake up in the middle of the night with cravings.
You stop eating when you begin to feel full.
You don’t feel the need to eat a certain food simply because you smell it.
Your diet isn’t making you feel sluggish, tired, or sick.
You can distract yourself when you feel an appetite coming on.
You are in control of your food intake. You do not binge on junk food and you indulge in treats only on occasion being mindful of moderation and portion control.
