US, Phoenix: Tempe Car Struck By Bullet On Freeway.

Phoenix, United States - July 05, 2026 07/04/2026 11:13 pm GMT-0700 TEMPE, Ariz. – Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and Tempe Police responded to reports of a car struck by a bullet Saturday night in Tempe. Troopers and officers arrived at the QuikTrip gas station on Priest Drive just north of U.S. 60 to investigate after a silver passenger car was struck by a bullet in the windshield. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, troopers are leading the investigation as the incident occurred on a freeway in the area of the U.S. 60 and I-10 interchange. Troopers are investigating the possibility that the bullet was shot in the air during a Fourth of July celebration before ultimately landing and striking the windshield. The female driver of the car was not injured.
