Dashcam footage captures a white SUV traveling through heavy traffic on the interstate. The driver is seen holding a handgun near the open window and pointing it toward another vehicle. The incident happened on July 29, 2026, shortly before 6:30 p.m., on I-75 southbound near the US-301 exit. Deputies said Patascher allegedly threatened another motorist and displayed a firearm during the encounter. Investigators later determined Patascher had allegedly switched his license plate after the incident in an attempt to avoid being identified. On July 31, 2026, Patascher was arrested by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office in connection with the investigation. He faces charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Driving While License Revoked (Habitual Offender).
