US, Phoenix: Phoenix 3rd Avenue Apartment Fire.

Phoenix, United States - October 18, 2026 10/18/2026 12:20 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix fire crews responded to reports of an apartment fire near the 1300 block of South 3rd Avenue. According to Phoenix fire officials at the scene, crews arrived to find heavy black smoke billowing from a single-story apartment unit. Crews deployed hose lines and made entry into the apartment unit for fire attack. Three occupants from the involved fire unit and two occupants from the neighboring unit were able to safely evacuate prior to the arrival of firefighters. A quick knockdown was achieved on the main body of fire following an aggressive interior attack. Fire crews removed a charred E-scooter from the apartment. Fire investigators are working to determine if the lithium-ion battery from the E-scooter contributed to the fire's source of origin. No injuries were reported.
