US, Phoenix: Glendale Driver In Custody After Crashing Through Wall Into Backyard.

Phoenix, United States - August 09, 2026 08/08/2026 09:07 pm GMT-0700 GLENDALE, Ariz. – Glendale police and Glendale Fire Department crews responded to reports of a fiery crash near the 8400 block of North 57th Avenue. According to Glendale police at the scene, a vehicle was traveling south on 57th Avenue when it collided with a wall. The vehicle crashed through the wall and into the backyard of a residence. Firefighters extinguished a fire in the engine bay. The driver was evaluated by fire crews at the scene but refused hospitalization. He was taken into custody a short time later.
