US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Reported Police Impersonator Suspected in Attempted Carjacking.

Los Angeles, United States - September 10, 2026 09/09/2026 10:00 pm GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – At about 10 PM Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department received a report of an attempted carjacking near the 24000 Block of Newhall Ranch Road in the Valencia area of Santa Clarita. The call stated a man in a white Ford F150 claiming to be a police officer attempted to carjack the victim in a parking lot at the location. Sheriff's deputies responded and located the suspect on the opposite side of the plaza. Deputies were able to successfully take the suspect into custody. The suspect was later reportedly identified to deputies by the victim.
