US, Los Angeles: Inglewood Firefighters Combat Large Blaze at Strip Mall.

Los Angeles, United States - October 08, 2026 10/08/2026 01:00 pm GMT-0700 INGLEWOOD, Calif. – This afternoon, Los Angeles County firefighters responded to a fire at a strip mall on the 700 block of Hyde Park Boulevard in Inglewood. The fire was reported just after noon. Upon arrival, crews discovered smoke coming from a single-story, multi-unit commercial building. Fire officials suggested that the blaze likely started in an ice cream shop within the mall. As the fire intensified, a second alarm was called shortly thereafter, followed by a third alarm around 12:37 p.m. Firefighters worked diligently to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other businesses or nearby residences. Smoke from the fire impacted nearby residents. One person at the scene sustained a broken leg and received on-site treatment. Their current condition remains unknown.
