US, Los Angeles: Hawthorne Deadly Wrong Way Fiery Crash Part 1.

Los Angeles, United States - July 21, 2026 07/21/2026 01:09 am GMT-0700 HAWTHORNE, Calif. – At least one person was killed in a fiery wrong-way crash involving multiple vehicles on the northbound 405 Freeway early Tuesday morning, according to initial reports gathered at the scene. The crash occurred just before Rosecrans Avenue after a vehicle reportedly traveled southbound in the northbound lanes. Multiple vehicles appeared to be involved, and at least one caught fire following the collision, according to the California Highway Patrol traffic incident page. The California Highway Patrol shut down all northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway at Inglewood Avenue as Caltrans assisted with the closure. Heavy traffic delays were expected in the area. The investigation is ongoing.
