US, Los Angeles: North Hollywood Driver Dies in Single-Vehicle Collision.

Los Angeles, United States - May 18, 2026 05/18/2026 02:14 am GMT-0700 NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A single-vehicle traffic collision occurred on the southbound 101 Freeway at the transition to the 134 Freeway. A sedan crashed into the median, trapping the driver inside. Emergency resources, including urban search and rescue, were called to aid in extracting the victim. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. All southbound lanes of the 101 were shut down by the California Highway Patrol for the investigation.
